On April 17, just over a week after the Saluda County Convention, new Chairman, Amy Potts held an organizational meeting for the newly elected Precinct Officers. The meeting took place in the Fellowship Hall of Saluda Presbyterian Church.
The purpose of the meeting was to give each precinct a binder to hold basic information each will need, including the current roster with names and contact information. It also holds some basic information about the purpose of the County Executive Committee (CEC), the SCGOP Rules, a few proxy forms, and midterm forms for new members.
This binder should be kept in the possession of each Precinct President or Secretary – whomever plans to keep records for the precinct. It should be kept up-to-date and handed on to new officers at the 2027 ReOrg.

Chairwoman Amy Potts, gave an overview of the CEC, which is comprised of all the precinct Committeemen and Presidents, the county officers who were just elected. She explained that her intention is for the first two regular meetings to be strictly organizational, with the first order of business being to approve a secretary and treasurer and to create any new offices needed. The CEC will also be deciding how often to meet and, hopefully, setting a regular date that will be predictable for everyone.
The first meeting will be in May, with the date to be announced soon!
