Our organizational efforts are almost complete…
Since the first Member’s Meeting of the 2025-27 Saluda County Republican Party on May 15, we have been working to establish a good organizational structure and recruit good Republicans to staff it.
Besides electing the three top county officers at the April County Convention – Chairwoman, Amy Potts; 1st Vice-Chairman, Greg Sander; State Executive Committeeman, Paul Gilbert – in May and June we added a secreatary and a treasurer, as well as several additional Vice-Chairmen to coordinate the activities we hope to pursue. They are:
- Secretary – Melinda Kneece
- Treasurer – Deb Camp
- 2nd Vice Chairman for Voter Education – Jay Dunbar
- 3rd Vice Chairwoman for Marketing and Media – Kim Paragoris
- 4th Vice Chairwoman for Events – Sherry Kirkland
We will be adding one more Vice-Chair for Elections later on.

We have set our monthly Member’s Meetings for the second Thursday of each month. We send meeting notices out to the almost 100 people who participated at some stage of our March Precinct Reorganization process. The Public is also welcome to attend.
We follow Roberts Rules at our meetings. Only our Executive Committeemen are allowed to make and second motions, but during the discussion period for any motion, we allow anyone in attendance to chime in on the topic. We feel that anyone who takes the time and trouble to come to a meeting should be able to express opinions and ask questions.
Up until now our efforts have been mainly organizational, but soon we will be poised to put our plans in action! We hope to make a real difference for Saluda Republicans and for Republican initiatives in general!
