Newt Gingrich once made this statement:
Until someone is prepared to lay out the systemic problem, we will simply go through cycles of finding corruption, finding a scapegoat, eliminating the scapegoat, and relaxing until we find the next scapegoat.
South Carolina doesn’t have a “politics problem.”
South Carolina has a corruption problem — and everybody knows it.
We all see it. We all feel it. And we’re all paying the price for it.
Power has been concentrated in Columbia for so long that too many people have forgotten something simple: Power belongs to the people — not the insiders, not the gatekeepers, and not the good-old-boy network.
We all know that power corrupts!
But here’s what corruption counts on: Most people will get frustrated, grumble a little… and then “go quietly into the night.”
That’s how the same people stay in power.
That’s how the money keeps flowing in the wrong direction.
And that’s how bad roads, bad schools, and bad government stay the same year after year.

I’M NOT WILLING TO GO QUIETLY!
And I don’t believe YOU are either!
I’m going to spend the next few days breaking down exactly how the power that creates corruption works in South Carolina — the money thread and the legal thread — and why “We the people cannot have good roads, good schools, or REPRESENTATIVE government “Of the People, By the People, and For the People” until we break those threads
I need your help!
If you want to change South Carolina…
If you’re tired of the power that corrupts…
If you believe “We the People” should run this state — not the powerful few…

Not privately. Not just with friends.
Publicly!
So that everyone in South Carolina can see it, hear it, and join this fight for honest, REPRESENTATIVE government.
We won’t beat corruption by whispering.
We’ll beat it by shining a BRIGHT light on it — together.
The Saluda County Republican Party considers Government Corruption – on every level – to be the biggest problem facing our country.
