The Saluda County GOP, drawing inspiration from the Lexington County GOP, is adopting a long-term initiative called “Run Red.” The purpose of Run Red is to recruit and assist exceptional, conservative Republicans to run for local offices, both partisan and non-partisan. This would apply to elected offices as well as appointments to Boards and Commissions.
To be accepted into the Run Red program, any Saluda County Republican must first complete an application that will be reviewed by the Saluda GOP Election Committee. The goal is to choose a well-qualified person who supports conservative policies, and surround them with a team that can help them win!
If you are considering running for office in Saluda County, we hope you will submit an application for Run Red soon. Tentatively, candidate filing will begin on Friday, March 20, 2026, and will end at noon on Friday, April 3, 2026, but it is never too early to start planning for an effective campaign.
