Hello, I want to talk to you about service. For the last 30 years, I have served the people of Saluda County—first as a school teacher, then as a member of the Saluda County School District 1 Board of Trustees, and for the last four years as your Saluda County Council Chairman. I have also served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Saluda Baptist Church, and I am currently the commander of American Legion Post 65.
A lot of you know me through these roles. You know me to be direct and to the point, but always honest and straightforward. As chairman, I have devoted a great deal of time to making Saluda County a better place—whether working with members of our legislative delegation such as Senator Garrett and Representative Forrest to secure a $3 million grant for an urgent care facility, or with Representative Clyburn to secure a $325,000 grant for economic development. I am always seeking ways to help Saluda County grow.
The last four years have been a learning experience for me. I have learned about government processes. I have learned the importance of building personal relationships with those who can help our county. And I have learned that the people of Saluda County want us to grow while still maintaining the rural character we all love.
I am asking for your vote so that I can continue working for you, putting my experience to use in leading Saluda County as we continue to grow. Early voting begins May 26 for the June 9 primary. This is an important election, not just for Saluda County but for the entire state. So turn out and let your voice be heard.
Please like and share to spread the word.
