Hollywood’s GOP Precinct Organization

President

Committeeman
Hollywood Precinct is the second largest in Saluda County with 1325 registered voters as of April 2025.
Hollywood is a very active precinct, and had the highest attendance at the Precinct ReOrganization meeting on March 8. (Precinct ReOrg occurs every two years in odd-numbered years.) At the March 2025 meeting, Regina Sanders was elected President, which means she is responsible for keeping the precinct organized. Grey Riley was elected Committeeman, which means he represents Hollywood Precinct on the County Level. Both Regina and Grey are members of the County Executive Committee, with Grey as the voting member. If Grey is absent, Regina votes as his proxy.
Three hundred seventy-six people from Hollywood Precinct voted. in the June 2024 Republican Primary. Based on those 376 primary voters, at ReOrg Hollywood precinct was allowed to select 15 delegates to the 2025 Saluda County Convention.
All fifteen of the Hollywood delegate slots were filled at that meeting, although some alternates were added later.

What does it mean to “Join” Your Precinct?
The official organization of The Republican Party exists on the National level (RNC), the State level (SCGOP), the County level (The Saluda County Republican Party), and the Precinct level. But it all starts on the Precinct level. You can donate money to any level or to any candidate’s for campaign, but if you want to become a decision-maker about the direction of the Republican Party itself, you must join in the precinct where you are registered to vote.
Precinct Officers, County Officers and State Officers are all elected during the ReOrg process for two-year terms. It is very worthwhile, however, to join between ReOrgs. There are like-minded friends to make and a role for everyone who has the smallest amount of time to offer. Sometimes an officer must resign, and there is an opportunity for a late-comer to fill a vacant spot.
