Fruit Hill’s GOP Precinct Organization

President
Committeeman
This is the first year that Fruit Hill Precinct has been organized for the Saluda County GOP thanks to Burton Campbell who is serving as both President and Committeeman
As President, Burton is responsible for keeping the precinct organized. As Committeeman, he represents Hollywood Precinct on the County Level as a member of the County Executive Committee.
There are 1117 registered voters in Fruit Hill Precinct, and 186 of them voted in the June 2024 Republican Primary. Based on those primary voters, at ReOrg Fruit Hill precinct was allowed to select 8 delegates to the 2025 Saluda County Convention.
Burton, being the only Fruit Hill precinct member, was also the only delegate. During the current 2025-27 term, we are going to be working to recruit more members from Fruit Hill.

What does it mean to “Join” Your Precinct?
The official organization of The Republican Party exists on the National level (RNC), the State level (SCGOP), the County level (The Saluda County Republican Party), and the Precinct level. But it all starts on the Precinct level. You can donate money to any level or to any candidate’s for campaign, but if you want to become a decision-maker about the direction of the Republican Party itself, you must join in the precinct where you are registered to vote.
Precinct Officers, County Officers and State Officers are all elected during the ReOrg process for two-year terms. It is very worthwhile, however, to join between ReOrgs. There are like-minded friends to make and a role for everyone who has the smallest amount of time to offer. Sometimes an officer must resign, and there is an opportunity for a late-comer to fill a vacant spot.
In Fruit Hill, of course, there are officer openings already!
