
Pamela Sue Evette is the 93rd Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina, serving since January 2019 as the first female Republican elected to the office on a joint gubernatorial ticket. Born in Ohio in 1967 to a military father, she is a businesswoman and trained accountant who earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Cleveland State University.
When Evette was in her thirties, she left Ohio to move to SC where she raised her children and built her business.
Evette founded and led Quality Business Solutions (QBS), a payroll and HR firm headquartered in Travelers Rest, SC, growing it into a nationally recognized enterprise before entering politics. As CEO, she garnered numerous business honors including the ATHENA Leadership Award and recognition as one of the nation’s fastest growing women-led companies.
Her career has focused on supporting small businesses, and she served on South Carolina’s Small Business Regulatory Review Committee before taking office as Lieutenant Governor. Evette is also active in public service and civic leadership, earning distinction on environmental, transportation, and humanitarian causes.
She resides in Travelers Rest with her husband David and their three children. Evette is a granddaughter of Polish immigrants and continues to advocate for business growth, education, and family values in South Carolina.
